XEP Editions and Features XEP is available in several editions: Trial, Client, Developer, and Server. All editions share the same core formatting engine, and provide consistent rendering quality. Client editions come with a number of optional interfaces and auxiliary components which make it easy to use XEP with popular XML editors and development environments. Server and Developer editions offer a dedicated support by the RenderX team as well as the API documentation and examples. They are designed for the developer, vertical integration and corporate use of XEP. Academic edition is a free version of the Client edition of XEP. It is granted to universities, academic institutions, and non-profit non-governmental organizations. Client and Developer editions have a discounted stamped form; they offer the same functionality but a stamp is added to each page of the output with links to RenderX and the XSL-FO Recommendation. Distinctive features of each edition are listed in the table below: Table 1. XEP Versions — Feature Comparison
Several connectors are available for different XEP editions. |
